'Tis the Season to Shop Local
If Rodeo Drive is the heart of Los Angeles shopping, then Avenida Del Mar surely is that for San Clemente. As one would expect, San Clemente's main shopping boulevard is more reflective of a beach town than Tinseltown - surf shops such as Killer Dana and Hobie's anchor the street instead of Burberrys and Prada. But while the storefronts may differ, the stores and businesses in both areas share one common challenge, and that is how to keep recession-minded customers coming in during the all-important holiday season.

"It's so important for the residents of San Clemente to do their holiday shopping locally in San Clemente as much as they can," said Lynn Wood, Executive Director of San Clemente's Chamber of Commerce. "It all goes back to your city and helps our economy."
