FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
City Announces Notice of Funding Availability for Civic Projects,
Social Services and Housing Programs
December 16, 2020…San Clemente, California…The City invites nonprofit organizations serving San Clemente residents to submit a request for grant funds from the City of San Clemente for civic projects, social services, or housing and homeless support services.
The two sources of grant funds available are: The City’s General Fund and Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds.
Funding requests will be considered for grants for a new service, event, or an established program. Funds may be allocated to pay for one-time costs, staffing costs, or operation costs (rent, supplies, professional or special services). The City should not be considered the sole funding source for the project. Grants are for the 2021-2022 fiscal year, which begins on July 1, 2021. The General Fund Grant award recommendations will be forwarded to the City Council for consideration during the budget approval process and the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) awards are contingent upon CDBG appropriations in the federal budget.
The application is currently posted on the City’s website under the Services/Housing & Social Services/Social Services link. Applications must be submitted to the Community Development Department at 910 Calle Negocio, Suite 100, San Clemente by Monday, January 25, 2021 at 5:00 p.m.
