Endorsement Process

The candidate endorsement process was established to provide a service to the community through the Chamber’s evaluation of each candidate’s qualifications as they align with our current community’s needs, with a focus on the Chamber’s business members.

In the case of city council elections, all candidates are eligible and invited to participate in the endorsement process, which includes the completion of a thoughtfully prepared questionnaire and interview with the BBSC-PAC committee. During the interviews, candidates are asked about issues that affect both businesses and residents.

At times, the San Clemente Chamber of Commerce will support candidates, issues and/or propositions and legislative matters that may affect the San Clemente business community.
